Welcome to the website of St Bede's Catholic Middle School. I am very proud to be Headteacher of this amazing school.

St Bede’s is a thriving Catholic Middle School in Redditch, Worcestershire with a fantastic reputation for ensuring our pupils thrive in all areas of their lives. Our school benefits from superb facilities and enthusiastic, hardworking staff, which, when combined with well-motivated pupils – creates an exciting environment for learning. 

At St Bede’s we provide Catholic education to pupils aged 9-13 years from our partnership schools in Redditch and Bromsgrove. We are an academy, part of the Our Lady of The Magnificat Catholic Multi Academy Company – allowing us to be involved in an exciting development of Catholic education in Worcestershire and Warwickshire with schools in our Multi Academy. 

We believe that the teachings of Christ are a model for how we should live our lives and are a model for how we lead our school. Values such as forgiveness, tolerance, striving to be our best are all underpinned and come from the source of our inspiration, Jesus Christ. 

The teaching of core knowledge and the ability for pupils to use that new learning to inform the next stages of their learning is central to our curriculum intent. We do aim to deliver new skills and knowledge very much through the lens of the teachings of Christ. 

We foster and nurture the sense of Vocation and spiritual growth of the whole person to discover what God might be calling them to in life and to strive to be the best they can be, in line with the mission statement. 

We understand that happy pupils do well, so we have a strong pastoral offer and prioritise well-being and positive mental health. We carefully monitor staff and student well-being as well as the well-being and health of our wider school community including parents. As a result, well-being and “Thrive” type activities are an important part of our schools offer. 

Our sporting and arts accolades show our commitment to the development of the whole pupil, we have wide-ranging success in a host of sports, with new trophies proudly showing our achievements and teamwork. Our school benefits with access to ICT equipment throughout, and with dedicated science labs, multi-Materials, art, cooking, performance spaces and music rooms as well as a fantastic Sports Hall – we can offer a variety, richness, and depth of learning at St Bede’s. 

St Bede’s is a school where we want all pupils to do their best and fully immerse themselves into school life, we hope they will wear their badge with pride, always.
